Mrs. Castro and Mrs. Hara are great sports!
Challenging the students to bring in a record amount of funds for our school walkathon means these ladies will spend a chilly, but clear, night on the rooftop of our very own school.
The Grade 7 class, in which Mrs. Hara works as an Education Assistant, raised a whopping $17 443, thanks in part to Mrs. Hara offering to dye her hair and sleep on the roof if they beat last year's total.
Mrs. Castro's Grade 4 class raised $5223.85, beating out both our Grade 5 classes in the challenge which means she'll sacrifice a cozy night at home with her family in support of SFDS School.
Thank you to both these ladies and to all the staff of our school for all the effort they put into ensuring this important campaign was a resounding success. Together we will use these funds to grow in our faith, to learn more about the world God blesses us with, to achieve further accomplishments, to grow in mercy, to engage positively with one another for the greater good and to serve whoever needs a helping hand as we grow ever closer to sainthood!
