Premier Horgan and Education Minister Fleming announced BC’s K-12 Education Restart Plan this morning. You can watch the official announcement here.

Like other schools in BC, CISVA schools will open on June 1, 2020 at Stage 3 of the Ministry of Education K-12 Education Restart Plan. Teaching staff may expect to return to school during the week of May 25-29 to prepare for the limited return of students to classes. Teachers and staff are not to return to school buildings until safety protocols and screening expectations have been developed and communicated. We continue to emphasize that staff and student safety is of the highest importance in our gradual return to limited in-class instruction.

The Superintendent’s Office will be meeting with the CISVAAA on Tuesday to continue planning and ensure that schools have set clear guidelines and expectations prior to commencing the gradual return to in-school teaching and learning. The updated Integrated Planning Framework and COVID-19 Questions and Answers updates are expected soon.
