DUE TO THE FORECASTED HEAVY RAIN AND HIGH WINDS, THIS IS POSTPONED UNTIL MONDAY.
Please come and join us at Deer Lake between 8:45 and 9:00 am. Parent volunteers are welcome to walk with us. We recommend that they wear masks if they are interacting with the children - even though we are outside.
Be sure that your child is ready for the day with:
- Comfortable walking shoes (preferably not rain boots that can give them blisters)
- Waterproof jacket and weather appropriate clothing
- A small backpack with a pocket snack, water bottle, and change of clothes and socks in case we get rained on!
We will walk the ‘primary route’ around Deer Lake, finishing at approximately 10:30 and will walk back to the school, arriving befpre 12:00. If weather permits, we will stop for games along the lake route.
We will serve our customary hotdogs at school for lunch, thanks to parents and staff who will help prepare them.
