This is an exciting day for our students! Although due to the ongoing COVID restrictions much of what we traditionally do is not possible, we are nevertheless planning a memorable event for our senior class. The only people physically present will be the students as well as Mrs. Licerio, Mrs. DiFrancesco, Mrs. Wihak, Mr.Chapman and one or two technical support staff who will operate the cameras at a distance and will be masked. However, our proceedings will be live-streamed via the school Youtube channel and the link will be sent out ahead of time.
We will begin at 4:30 pm with Mass followed by a simple reception where we will provide the students with refreshments. Afterwards, we will complete the evening with the traditional recognitions and awards ceremony as well as the videos of the Grade 7 students saying goodbye as they move on to high school.
This class has become dear to all of us and we face seeing them leave with mixed feelings: we are said to see them leave us, but we are also excited to learn how they will continue to amaze themselves with all they can still accomplish, as we celebrate their final year at SFDS School.
