RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT THE NECESSITY OF UNSTRUCTURED PLAY
Students may come to school in their play clothes and bring anything they wish to play with to school on Friday, June 21st. The only restrictions we ask are: they must bring toys and these toys may NOT require batteries or electricity. No devices are permitted. Some ideas include: board games, dolls, Lego, blocks, trucks, cars, racetracks, playing cards, empty cardboard boxes, markers, jigsaw puzzles, blankets (for forts), social games (charades, Pictionary, etc.) The only exception to the electronics rule would be a board game that has an electronic timer, an electronics play kit, or similar. What we are aiming at is unstructured play.
