Principal's Message

Welcome to the St. Francis de Sales Elementary School Website.  It is our hope that our new website and EZ-Egenda will help you, the parents, and other stakeholders stay up-to-date with policies, upcoming events and important dates throughout the school year. We hope that the new format will enable better communication and allow us to operate in a more environmentally friendly manner.

At St. Francis de Sales we believe that the Catholic Learning Community should be one in which the staff endeavours to teach the "whole child" by using God as the anchor for everything we do in accordance with our Mission Statement.  In this task we work closely with our Pastor and with the Parish staff to promote a healthy, caring Catholic Community together with you the parents.

We believe that all of our students have the right to be healthy, happy and safe; to be loved, valued and respected; and to have high aspirations for the future.

We believe that you as parents are the first educators of your children and that as such you are an integral part of their success.  By working in partnership with the school we believe that we can truly promote life-long learners.

St. Francis de Sales School believes in fostering the children through Positive Behavioural Support (PBS). This is embodied in our PBS motto: Reverence, Respect, Responsibility: W.W.J.D.?

Our House system seeks to promote this by emphasizing our:

Friendship, Loyalty, Academics, Motivation, Excellence and Spirit: FLAMES

We want our student to ask themselves the question W.W.J.D? (What Would Jesus Do?)
